Club Experience With Laser Lights - Quad Red Greens & More

A laser I wanted to review today is a quad red green. It’s one of the more high-tech lasers out there and it’s used more for bigger clubs & mobile DJ shows but it can be a great secret weapon for any lighting show. In the past I’ve done a show strictly using quad lasers and everyone loved it. We had 4 quad red green lasers, 2 dual green lasers and a single high powered green. It turned out amazing and we had it just going through cycles increasing to the end of the night.

I did want to share my experience with these lasers as they can be used to make a huge impact on a show and can really cover huge amount of space. We did them at a 1000 person venue and it was just amazing. The reviews after were absolutely amazing as when you have something like that people haven’t seen it before and they just love it. It’s a change from the regular club lighting that they see every weekend and it turns a regular show into something different.

Firstly I wanted to talk about of course as all laser lighting the advantage of the huge amount of time you can have it going without stopping. No need to worry about overheating or anything similar and with 4 laser outputs they could cover a room as big as a gymnasium. I included the video as well of the set-up and as you can see we had them spread throughout the stage, had the duals on the sides and the single in the back. We had them going for long cycles as the events only lighting really set-up (other than the venue standard)

We had all the quads linked together via DMX cables but simply had them on a sound active mode when they were on. We had them connected through a different power input enabling us to turn them on when needed. Green & red lasers together though it is a little less noticeable from the angle of the video can blend together to make a yellow as well giving an even better more diverse show. If there’s one thing I can advise it’s that placement of the lasers and the colors and the mood are very important thing. You want to spread them out to cover all the room and not overwhelm a certain area. When dealing with color you want to make sure that it does match the mood you’re trying to set. The green and red colors are your classic vibrant club environment colors and can set the mood to the hype exciting club goer life.

You’re going to want to explore to find a place with quality lasers as there are plenty places out there. But you do have to look out for places that claim higher powers, as there are only a few people who will test the powers most of the time power can be an inaccurate measure. One place I did find to be pretty good in the power level and quality field was a place located right here in North America. I’ve gone through them a few times (it’s where I found the video as well) they have a pretty big amount of different lasers with separate videos & images. You can check them out at Z Laser Lights.
